Confidentiality & Privacy

At LimalixArt, your trust matters as much as the photographs. This page summarizes the Conditions of Confidentiality that apply to every studio session, wedding, graduation, anniversary, baby, family, and event booking with Alix Lima, doing business as LimalixArt, 616 Centre Street, Brockton, MA 02302. These conditions form part of the LimalixArt Photography Service Agreement signed by each client.

1. Our commitment

We treat your personal information, your private moments, and your unpublished images with discretion. We do not sell, rent, or trade client information to anyone, for any reason.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to book, plan, photograph, deliver, and bill your session: your name, email, phone number, and address; booking and payment records; event details such as venue, timeline, guest names, and shot list; the photographs themselves; and the name and email you enter in our contact, booking, or newsletter forms. Card payments are handled by third-party payment processors. LimalixArt does not store full card numbers.

3. How we protect your information and events

• We never publicly share the date, location, or guest list of a private event before it happens, or any sensitive family details you share with us.

• Private galleries are password-protected or unlisted and shared only with you and the people you choose.

• RAW files, outtakes, and rejected images are never published or shared.

• We never reveal a private home address through location tags.

4. Studio and sensitive sessions

Maternity, newborn, baby, boudoir-style, religious, or other sessions you identify as sensitive are never used for promotion without your separate written consent. During private sessions, the studio is closed to the public.

5. Children

Images of minors are never published with a child's full name, school, or home location. You may choose that images of your children are not used publicly at all.

6. Your privacy choices

Clients choose a privacy level when booking:

• Standard (included): images may appear in our portfolio, website, and social media, without your name unless you agree.

• Limited: only images where faces are not identifiable (details, décor, hands, silhouettes) may be shared, with no names or tags.

• Full Privacy: no promotional, portfolio, competition, or educational use of any image from your session.

You can ask us to remove a published image at any time by emailing info@limalixart.com. We remove it from LimalixArt channels within 10 business days. We cannot remove copies that others have already shared or downloaded.

7. What we ask of our clients

Please keep your private gallery password and download links private, keep custom quotes and negotiated pricing confidential, and respect the privacy of other clients you may meet at the studio.

8. Assistants and vendors

Second shooters, assistants, and editors who work with LimalixArt are bound by the same confidentiality rules and may not use images from your event for their own portfolios without your permission and ours. Information is shared only with service providers who need it to deliver your photos (such as print labs, gallery hosting, and payment processors), with our accountants or legal advisors, or where required by law.

9. Data security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards consistent with Massachusetts data protection standards (201 CMR 17.00), including password-protected devices and accounts, access-controlled cloud storage, and careful handling of memory cards. Booking and payment records are kept as required for tax purposes. Other personal information is deleted when no longer needed, or sooner on request. If a security incident ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Massachusetts law (M.G.L. c. 93H).

10. Website, booking, and newsletter

When you book online, contact us, or sign up for our newsletter and 15% offer, we use your name and email only to respond to you, manage your booking, and send the offers and studio news you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time. Our website and booking tools are hosted by third-party providers that may use cookies for site operation and analytics. We never sell your information or share it with advertisers.

11. Governing law

These conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and remain in effect after your session is complete.
